Wordle 127

Peering past the cradle of creation,
God saw the claws of evil sink deep into the stories of so many yet to come.

Evil spirits, long sent in exile,
Would pile their garbage on a beautiful world, invoking rash behavior from all but One.

Prophets penning clues of our salvation,
Spoke of apples and sins and battles won and lost by a special chosen some.

When evil would do its act most vile,
Good had a secret purpose, three days later turning death to living victory by the Son.

  1. Excellent wordle, Mark. I was going to tell you my favorite line, but when I read it again, I saw I had more than one. The opening line grabs your attention. Powerful poem.

  2. You’ve put the words together very nicely. Very clever. This is the 3rd time I’ve tried to comment. Each time the word verification tells me I’ve done it wrong. It’s often very difficult to read them and it’s frustrating to have gone through the trouble of commenting only to be told you didn’t type in the symbols correctly. Most of the time I would have given up and moved on without commenting. I just wanted you to be aware that word verification often makes it frustrating for would be commmenters.

    • Thanks for the comments. I think I will try turning the captcha code off and see what happens. I used to get lots of spam comments! I do so appreciate you taking the time to post the comment despite the troublesome captcha code.

  3. Strong write. Your images and allusions to Christianity are well played.
(I’m going for my sixth try with the “Captcha code” now.)

  4. Thanks Brenda, I appreciate your comments.

  5. Absolutely perfect. It makes me sad how we ascribe human characteristics to God. Great write, Mark.
