Yesterday, I went to the funeral of a guy I didn’t know. It was interesting to hear about his life and his Christian walk. I think I’ll look him up when I get to Heaven.

What occasioned you to do such a thing?
Your succinct blog puts an image in my head of you strolling alone though a dizzly cemetary and happening upon a midsized group of somber yet aimiable stragers who are curiously dressed victorian style and all carrying black umbrellas. You pause to listen thoughtfully to the eulogy of a mysterious gentleman and being moved by this man’s apparently upstanding character you wish to have known him and thus write the preceeding blog.
I’m guessing that’s not what actually happened.
Sometimes less is more. You are right. That’s not exactly what happened, but what you imagined captured much of the way I felt. So I guess it works. I wish I had known him. Some day I will.
I’ve actually had a similar experience. Great post.
