{"id":866,"date":"2010-11-29T17:22:13","date_gmt":"2010-11-29T22:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/markspruill.com\/blog\/?p=866"},"modified":"2010-11-29T17:43:27","modified_gmt":"2010-11-29T22:43:27","slug":"timeline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markspruill.com\/blog\/?p=866","title":{"rendered":"Timeline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanksgiving at Mom &amp; Dad&#8217;s house always has great food and exciting (usually loud)\u00a0conversation.\u00a0 This Thanksgiving we got into an interesting conversation about creation and time.<\/p>\n<p>The earth is millions of years old?<br \/>\nThe earth is a few thousand years old?<br \/>\nGenesis is literal?<br \/>\nGenesis is allegorical?<br \/>\nSeven days or seven eons?<br \/>\nHow long did it take to carve the Grand Canyon?<br \/>\nWhere on the timeline do we find dinosaurs?<br \/>\nDo you see that light from the Andromeda Galaxy 2.5 million light years\u00a0away?<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know the answers.\u00a0 But,\u00a0maybe God\u00a0is not the\u00a0&#8220;I Was&#8221; or the &#8220;I Will Be.&#8221;\u00a0 It is possible God is the ever present &#8220;I AM&#8221; because\u00a0He is\u00a0not limited by time.\u00a0 Perhaps God did not just create the events ON\u00a0a great\u00a0timeline.\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe, He created the line itself.\u00a0 Kinda brings new meaning to the phrase &#8220;God&#8217;s timing&#8221; doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p><em>And God said to Moses, \u201cI AM WHO I AM.\u201d And He said, \u201cThus you shall say to the children of Israel, \u2018I AM has sent me to you.\u2019\u201d<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 -Exodus 3:14<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jesus said to them, \u201cMost assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; John 8:58\u00a0 NKJV<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanksgiving at Mom &amp; Dad&#8217;s house always has great food and exciting (usually loud)\u00a0conversation.\u00a0 This Thanksgiving we got into an interesting conversation about creation and time.
