{"id":704,"date":"2010-09-05T09:08:28","date_gmt":"2010-09-05T13:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/markspruill.com\/blog\/?p=704"},"modified":"2010-09-07T17:42:50","modified_gmt":"2010-09-07T21:42:50","slug":"life-near-the-trash-can","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markspruill.com\/blog\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"Life Near the Trash Can"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flies!\u00a0 I hate &#8217;em.\u00a0\u00a0 They really know how to mess up a lunch at the park.\u00a0 Buzzing around, landing on my hamburger, gnawing on my fries, sipping on my straw, they drive me crazy!\u00a0 Where did all these flies come from anyway?\u00a0 I can only assume they&#8217;ve been breeding on the junk thrown in the trash cans.\u00a0 But they are not satisfied with that.\u00a0 No, they have to come out of the trash can in search of MY food.\u00a0 They refuse to let me eat in peace.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The real\u00a0issue is that the trash cans are too close to the picnic tables.\u00a0 People are too lazy to walk far to toss trash, so they make a free fly smorgasbord right next to where they set the good food.\u00a0 Now nobody is happy but the flies.\u00a0 They can have rotten food for the main course, then chow down on my hamburger for desert.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the problem with living too close to the trash.\u00a0 You end up constantly swatting flies.\u00a0 And in the end, even the good stuff gets spoiled.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;
