I was in an upscale shopping center.\u00a0 An out-door mall of sorts with parking in the middle and shops on each side.\u00a0 The parking lot was full of BMWs, Mercedes, and Lexuseseses.\u00a0 (I’m not sure how to pronounce, much less write the plural of “Lexus.”)\u00a0 I even spotted a Jaguar and a Porche.\u00a0 Clearly, not the same\u00a0vehicle mix\u00a0as the Wal-Mart parking lot.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was obvious that\u00a0the folks in this shopping center had the resources to do a lot of good.\u00a0 Perhaps many of them did.\u00a0 Or perhaps they spent all their income on cars.\u00a0 I can’t throw stones.\u00a0 I spend a lot of my extra income on\u00a0“toys” like a boat, a camper, and a swimming pool.<\/p>\n
However, this particular\u00a0walk through the automotive cream-of-the-crop did get\u00a0me\u00a0wondering what the world would be like if all that money was spent on something else.\u00a0 Kind of a what-would-Jesus-drive thought.\u00a0\u00a0 But\u00a0with the exception of a borrowed donkey or perhaps a fisherman’s boat on occasion, the only transportation\u00a0Jesus had was his feet.\u00a0 Even my 1999 Chevy van seems extravagant compared to that.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
So what would Jesus drive?\u00a0 Well I think that depends on where He lives.\u00a0 Does He live\u00a0with me?\u00a0 Is He really my Lord?\u00a0 Am I allowing Him to do with me as He wills?\u00a0 Does everything I have REALLY belong to Him?\u00a0 If so, then I only need look in my driveway to know the answer.\u00a0 If you want to know the answer too, just peek out your window when you get home tonight.\u00a0 Can you see it?\u00a0 Whose car is that in your driveway?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
