We had communion last Sunday.\u00a0 It is almost always a moving experience as I\u00a0eat the bread and drink the juice.\u00a0 Then I toss the plastic cup in the trash and it’s over.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The little cup that held the juice that represented the blood of Christ, tossed away as if it is nothing.\u00a0 It felt a\u00a0bit\u00a0strange, like the little cup ought to be more important.\u00a0 But\u00a0if the bread represents Christ’s body, and the juice represents Christ’s blood, then what does the cup represent?\u00a0\u00a0 I guess . . . nothing.\u00a0 What else do you need?<\/p>\n
