I found a letter in the pocket of an old coat.\u00a0 Evidently, the writer had been going through a rough time and was appealing to his Father for help.\u00a0 As you can see in the excerpt below,\u00a0I suspect that he has trouble trying to keep everybody happy.\u00a0\u00a0 Somebody needs to tell him it just can’t be done.<\/p>\n
Father, there is a heavy weight down in my soul, and I’m not even sure why it’s there.\u00a0 Maybe I’ve been too long in the battle.\u00a0 Why do the little things get me down?\u00a0 Why can’t I just drop all the burdens and tune out all the expectations of everyone but you?\u00a0 <\/em>I don’t want to cause the hurt of others, but I suppose hurts will come, despite my best efforts.\u00a0 My efforts are not good enough anyway.\u00a0 Sooner or later, someone will be hurt or disappointed.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n It’s only you, living in me that makes my life a success.\u00a0 Peace comes when I quit trying to be right.\u00a0 Quit trying to do right.\u00a0 Quit trying to live right, and instead, live WITH the one who IS right.\u00a0 Live in the moment, with you, leaving the past and the future in your hands.<\/em><\/p>\n How should I live now?\u00a0 Not, How should I live then?
