Recently, Dan Cathy, president of Chick-fil-A caused a major stir simply because he made it known that he supports the traditional view of marriage.\u00a0 Some people are outraged, some cities are saying he is not welcome to put a store in their community.\u00a0\u00a0Hate\u00a0speech\u00a0as well as encouraging support is spewed all over the Internet.\u00a0\u00a0 All because a successful, well known enterprise took a stand on something.\u00a0\u00a0 Something anyone who knew anything about Chick-fil-A and it’s founder could have already guessed.\u00a0\u00a0 But\u00a0because\u00a0they are so well known and popular, people act like it’s a big deal. \u00a0I thank God for the courage of Dan Cathy. \u00a0It’s made me consider what I should do.<\/p>\n
On the very off chance that I should ever be wildly successful or incredibly popular, I have decided to make my views known now.\u00a0 Perhaps that will keep them from becoming a big deal later.\u00a0 If I ever write a best seller, no one will be able to say it ( or I ) was popular only because people didn’t know what I was REALLY like and what I REALLY believe.\u00a0 So, let it be known here and now:<\/p>\n
I believe Jesus is the only Way to God.\u00a0 He is the Truth, and the\u00a0Life!<\/p>\n
I believe the\u00a0Bible is\u00a0God’s\u00a0word to us.<\/p>\n
I believe I am called to love and forgive everyone, even when it is not easy. \u00a0I also believe\u00a0sin is sin.\u00a0 Wrong is wrong.\u00a0 Doesn’t matter if it’s not politically correct or if it’s inconvenient\u00a0for me or my chosen lifestyle . . . or yours.\u00a0 To be more specific, I believe\u00a0abortion is the taking of a human life.\u00a0 I believe\u00a0the homosexual lifestyle is wrong.\u00a0 Sex before marriage is wrong.\u00a0 Lying, cheating, stealing\u00a0are wrong.\u00a0\u00a0Lust is wrong.\u00a0 Gossip is wrong. \u00a0Cowardice\u00a0is wrong. \u00a0Selfishness is wrong. \u00a0And a whole lot of other things are wrong. . . some of which I do on occasion, because I also believe, I am not perfect. \u00a0And neither is anyone else.<\/p>\n
That’s why we all need Jesus.<\/p>\n
