Pictures from the Haiti Youth retreat – March 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can see the games in progress.\u00a0 It was hard to take pictures of myself teaching, but there\u00a0were some bible lessons each day as well!\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most fun game for me?\u00a0 Wrapping groups of kids with stretch wrap then having them race around the field!\u00a0 Although, the lifesavor relay was a close second.\u00a0 Have you ever licked a lifesavor and stuck it to your forehead?\u00a0 I have!<\/p>\n

The best lesson for me?\u00a0 The story of our dog Charlie, who runs away.\u00a0 He makes me so angry.\u00a0 He messes with the big I.\u00a0 Wastes MY time.\u00a0 Won’t do what I want, and in the process, ruins my peace.\u00a0 But if I am not my own . . .\u00a0 if I am bought with a price . . .\u00a0 if I am crucified with Christ, then why am I worrying about\u00a0MY rights?\u00a0 I am glad God is like my wife Tammy, who welcomes Charlie back home even when he runs away.\u00a0 She says of Charlie, “He needs me.”\u00a0 And so he does, even when he doesn’t know it.\u00a0 As 1 Peter says, . . . be humbled under the mighty hand of God . . . then you can cast all your anxiety on Him.<\/p>\n
